INDUCTED 2005 - DONALD W. CURTEN SR. 
 
 
In Grand American competition, Don Curten placed sixth in the Budweiser Handicap with 98, and he claimed the same trophy in the 1994 Trap and Field Handicap with a 97.

After being a member of the winning central zone teams in the 1984 and 1985 California state tournaments, Don captured the1991 Handicap title with 100 from the 27 and the All-Around title with 396X400. Five years later he repeated as State Handicap Champion with 99. His additional state shoot honors included nine long yardage prizes plus four veteran trophies in 2004.

Don also earned several awards at the 1986, '87 and '88 Hawaii state tournaments as both resident and non-resident. The latter year he captured the Singles, Doubles and All-Around titles.

Don won the Golden 400 buckle six times at Santa Maria TC.

He has fired at more than 85,000 singles, 164,000 handicap and 61,000 doubles ATA targets during his shooting career.

Donald W. Curten Sr. was inducted in to the California Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 2005.
